Prepare your router:

1st step: open your router web page:

If you want to set a static web page on your computer and use this static web page port to Minecraft server. Then you will use this static web page. And easily access your router by entering the router address into the webpage. When you work on the internet all of the things happen virtually. And all of the routers have different pages. You can easily check your router online and check it’s documentation. And check the port address for entering into the server.

2nd step: Log in if prompted:

7th step: Enter your computer’s static IP address:

8th step: Select both TCP and UDP:

9th step: Forward the Minecraft port:

Just enter the 25565 in both port text boxes of TCP and UDP.

This 25565 is a default port used by the Minecraft.

10th step: Enable the rule:

Installing on Windows

  • Make sure that java is up to date. If java is not updated then you will need to update your java.
  • If java is not updated then download the Java JDK for your pc. You must download JavaDownload  JDK according to your pc Specification.
  • Download the server file by using this link(https://minecraft.net/en-us/download/server)
  • Create a new folder on your pc desktop. Just right click and create the new folder. And name this folder Minecraft server. Before pressing the enter button.
  • Move the server file which is downloaded before. And drag the file in the newly created folder which named Minecraft server.
  • Run the server file which is downloaded. just double click on the file and run the file. You will see multiple file and folders in the file.
  • Accept the terms and conditions which is apparent and read them carefully which is necessary. in a folder, you will see the “Eula” file after seeing just doing the following

this eula file appears as (eula=false) just change the false into to true and save changes.

  • Now again the double click on the Minecraft server file
  • You just find the Minecraft server.properties file in the Minecraft server folder
  • After this just rename the file server.properties. Just click right button and rename the file as “serverproperties” and save them.
  • Open this new file which named serverproperties in notepad
  • Now just add your IP address into the file which is open in notepad. Just find the Server.ip folder to enter the IP address of your computer.
  • After this just save the file press save button.
  • Now just click the launcher button in the folder to run your Minecraft server.

connect to server:

  1. Find your IP address which is created before
  2. Start the server with the run file. just double click on the run the file
  3. Open the Minecraft and find the options multiplayer
  4. And click the multiplayer which is in the Minecraft
  5. After this click adds the server. you will find this button on the right corner of the page
  6. Just enter the server name which is assigned during the setting up a server
  7. Now enter your computer IP address into the server port to connect your computer with the server
  8. click the done button to  save changes
  9. Now select the server which appears on the top of the page
  10. click the join server which appears on the bottom of the page
  11. Now invite your friends to join you for playing the game
